The part of this that caught my eye is that "innovators" who have yet to solve any *real* problems are implementing artificial idiocy at an accelerating pace.
But there are two aspects of possible AI crashes: First and most obviously, what happens when they fail to solve the "hallucination" problem that is apparently inherent to the technology because somehow artificial idiots are too stupid to say they don't know.
Then there's the business side, which I assume is what

The complication here is when businesses rely on a technology that is prone to just making shit up. Now even many more businesses might fall and probably not all at once. Then you have a reputational blowback affecting AI companies themselves.
The potential here is far wider than the dot-com crash.
