So, I’m sitting g here trying to understand this whole #zap thing, I have even tried to partake, hoping maybe someday I’ll get it. I’m smarter than the average bear but this shit still seems rather silly.
When did liking and commenting as much, not become enough? When was zapping someone 3 pennies EVER considered a good thing or an extension of the original like?
I have said this half a dozen times but the powers that be don’t seem to be smart enough to receive it, zapping individual posts is moronic and can breed insincerity if max #sats is all you really care about.
The flip side of that, zapping someone 21 sats or even 210 sats, seems obnoxious at best and insulting at the very least. I would rather you just like a post then tell me how much you like it by sending me 20 cents. Are you fucking serious?
It can also give the false sense of the importance of a #note simply because of how many times it’s been zapped/liked. Just because 1000 people zap/like your posts doesn’t mean I or others that come across this, will. Pretentious? Just a bit.
Post what you want with no expectation of being paid for it, otherwise, you’re no different than the guitarist I throw change to in the subways station…
Your #wallet should be the only place you see what you received and by who, it’s no one else’s business.
