When I lived in the south, this was my preferred airport as a traveller with disabilities, so I would have liked the government to take a view that supported the airport to expand _but_ restricted its business to cities that have good access via the rail network (including the Channel Tunnel) and where those services are not significantly longer when door to door times are used, including check in and customs/security times are included).
