Aside from knowing her as a teen, the only connection between her and my current MC is that her complex and sometimes dark path has put her in a position to intersect and help with his current predicament. Part of my current battle is that her character is now more rich and compelling than his. He's intentionally a little flat at the outset and busting him out of that has proved to be difficult.
