The province (like a state, but bigger land mass) run by oil and gas companies with a pinhead fascist sitting in the Premier's chair is running out of water. This is definitely being driven by climate change, but it's exacerbated by the fact that the region this province is in has historically been extremely dry, but has enjoyed an unprecedented wet period over the 100+ years that it was mostly built up and occupied by white people from the east in. The solutions here look something like "stop burning fossil fuels and using up the water to mine more fossil fuels and stop encouraging people to move to Alberta because even the current population numbers are not sustainable if the province returns to its historically traditional water/moisture levels."
So naturally the oil companies/fascist party running the place is doing more fossil fuel mining, actively trying to block renewable energy initiatives, threatening to sue the federal government if *it* does anything about climate change and telling folks to move to Alberta to escape "wokeness" or some sh*t.
It's a death cult man. I dunno what else to say.
