Not surprised that Jimmy comes in with the best response. I’ve seen Jimmy walking around multiple conferences with his cowboy hat and everything, so he’s always been fully present. He’s been doing this way longer than me.

I will say that if someone ever punches me at a conference, I’ll likely punch back. I do have a constant subtle stress awareness at conferences when I’m walking around. There’s always a part of me ready to bring out fucking trailer park Lyn and throw down until security shows up.

But one cannot rely on that, since weapons and such do exist. In that sense I do monitor faces for folks who show recognition to me, and potential threats. Fortunately never had the latter.

Bitcoin places are good places. That is the ultimate defense.

To be fair, you also can defend yourself pretty well, which obviates a lot of the need for security. Perhaps the lesson here is to learn some grappling to have this kind of self confidence.
