Oh, hon, I have so much empathy for what you're going through. Water coming into the house scares me so much. As my house inspector said, "Water always wins." It has won at least four times in the last 6 years, the last time being 2 years ago after having a roof vent put in. Water was pouring into a closet and into the LR. It took months to get it taken care of, but I still cringe when it rains.
