"content": "I was pondering what to post for American Independence Day, such as it is, and suddenly it came to me: how about a red, white, and blue fungus!\n\nIn July of last year, we found this red mouth bolete (ππ°ππ¦π΅πΆπ΄ π΄πΆπ£π·π¦ππΆπ΅πͺπ±π¦π΄) lying beside the trail. Since it was already uprooted, we had no qualms about cutting into it to see this really cool property: it's flesh turns blue when you cut it!\n\n#mushrooms #mushtodon #boletes #nature #FourthOfJuly #IndependenceDay #fungi\nhttps://media.tech.lgbt/media_attachments/files/112/728/574/302/472/312/original/6060ed81d67e31c0.jpeg\nhttps://media.tech.lgbt/media_attachments/files/112/728/574/303/686/522/original/b4592b63e7b9c345.jpeg\n",
