You know what's weirdest about this missing chunk tunnel base?
They didn't put slabs at the bottom of the stairs. You have to jump up once to get on the staircase. Why wouldn't you put slabs there‽ Of all the mysteries, this is most baffling.
(also I've always hated dirt construction, I never leave dirt or grass walls or paths.)
