I posted on my Senate FB page about the Jasper fire - and some people posted comments suggesting the fire had been started by space lasers. Because any crazy (and not incidentally anti-Semitic) conspiracy theory is more plausible to climate change deniers than the hard truth. After a mild dry winter with little snow, after two weeks of a blazing July heat wave, the park went up like tinder. It’s not because of distant energy weapons. The cause is far more prosaic. And we can’t keep ignoring it.
