Nice thing about the follower model is it allows for infinite dimensional reputation rather than trying to condense everything down to one number and make everyone live with it.

Here's an idea (unsure if it would work): You see a post, you don't know who posted it or boosted it, you can click "follow" to follow the person who wrote it (you might be already, you won't know). You'll get more of their posts, but you won't be able to decipher what comes from whom.

There needs to be enough error/noise introduced that you can't just setup 1000 bots and have each one follow one post only.
