The need for something like that is super clear, but I think the lexicon method solves this better than any sort of 'kind 1a' solution. A lot of things on ATProtocol I'm not so keen on, but lexicons I think are great, and that method (if not the name) will become the global standard for decentralised interop.

To adapt that system to Nostr would require some tweaks on the resolve and record-storage side, but the main thing is that as a framework for decentralised interop it just makes so much more sense.
