At scale, relays will be absolutely hammered. Not an attack just an artifact of growth. I don't beleive that nostr can function smoothly with only a small number of relays. OpEx would skyrocket. If relays could operate behind a NAT then scaling could go horizontal instead of vertical, which is key.
