This is our power company.
#Colorado #ClimateChange
---------
PRPA currently gets about 1/3 of its power from renewables, 1/3 from coal and another 1/3 from an older gas-powered station. In recent years, PRPA has contracted for 225 MW of wind power, and 22 MW of solar with some battery storage. Plans are at various stages for hundreds more MW of solar with larger, long-term battery storage.
But PRPA still sees a gap in reliable power as the coal plants go offline.
