For the first time ever, https://the-federation.info reports that Mastodon is now a minority of nodes on the Fediverse.

23,578 Fediverse nodes are counted, with 9,851nodes being Mastodon servers.

Unlike other stats sites, https://the-federation.info counts servers that don't use ActivityPub -- such as Matrix, Diaspora, and Bluesky.
