This week's Linux and FOSS news:
LINUX NEWS
Linux kernel 6.11 released with Bluetooth/WLAN chip on Qualcomm platforms, Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake CPU support, Loongson-3 CPUFreq driver support etc.:

GNU Linux-libre kernel 6.11 is also released with closed drivers removed:

(Richard Stallman's gnu was humgry, ate all closed drivers. Nom nom)
GNOME 46.5 released with several bug fixes, performance improvements:

GNOME 47 released with accent colors (although it's only supported by GTK 4 apps currenly), File Chooser is replaced with Files (Nautilus) (although in most programs, it didn't change yet), GTK 4 apps got redesigned sidebar, dialog windows (like file delete confirmation, shutting down computer) also got more modern design:

(The accent color situation is quite interested, in theory, everyone accepted GNOME's implementation, but Qt and Linux Mint programs don't adapt to it yet (not even GTK 2 and 3 programs though))
(It's probably a good idea to ditch File Chooser, it's pretty annoying, it doesn't get auto-focus when it's opened in most programs, on Wayland it appears behind main window, or in best case, only filename field doesn't get auto-focus)
Ubuntu 24.10 beta released with GNOME 47, Linux kernel 6.11, new Security Center app, improved App Center, Ubuntu Dock show if a snap program is being updated etc.:

(Sry I couldn't resist lol)
