You know what "radicalized" me?
In 2019 I started to become a Trump supporter and began to visit the donald dot win website. It was one of the few unfiltered places on the internet with so many like-minded people, and it was becoming exceptionally popular. During the election, it was the only place to get uncensored real-time updates, and the election fraud was being documented with a level of precision that was absolutely a threat if any of the evidence was brought to court. Yes, there was a lot of autistic bullshit, but there were real people on the ground showing what was happening, breaking down the voting statistics, and posting videos of election law violations.
Well, not long after the election, the FBI bullied the site owner into shutting down the website. This isn't the official story, but I watched it happen on the site itself; the site owner narrated the whole thing before the site went down. If you search for the site now, all you'll see is articles about how it was "a haven for violent far-right extremists" which is what you would expect from the protected communist propagandists who get to write the epitaph of every opposing voice the deep state silences.
Most of the evidence and data on that website was lost. Even when they spun up a new site to replace it, there were a lot of people who never went back and history that was never restored.
If nostr had existed back then, the site wouldn't have been shut down and a lot of that evidence could have been preserved.
After this I stopped fighting for a political ideology and began my journey into freedom tech.
I say "radicalized" as a joke, because there is nothing radical about fighting for our constitutional right to freedom of speech; the only thing that makes it noteworthy is the absolutely radical communist American government we live under that works so hard to make sure we don't speak freely, which is shocking, disgraceful, and evil to the highest degree.
I never want the government to censor anyone ever again. That's why I'm here. That's why I nostr.
