The email address opens up another security protocol fault. Another password I need to remember. Another email provider that could go out of business (or get shut down by authorities). Another business I have to trust with that email address. Etc etc etc.
The only my ones that fit this bill are Protonmail, Tutanota, or own PGP server (99% of others again require email address and many times a phone number - which means ANOTHER burner SIM to keep a track of).
I should have a private key (or passphrase) and that's it - just like #nostr. I should be able to pay into a Lightning node owner with BTC (or amy other non-LBTC) to open a channel, that I can additionally tie to/sign with my #nostr privatekey. Clean. Easy. Validated.
Lightning implementation is like Web2.1, not 3 which is why CBDCs/governments are implementing with is. This experience has proven to me my concerns.
