"content": "Aye.\n\nThe taxonomy is different if I’m not mistaken - there’s no set linguistic phylogenetic level equivalent to genus, order, family, etc (except for language families at all levels, which would be equivalent to unranked clades).\n\nIf I’m not mistaken, there’s also a lot more [reticulated family trees](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reticulate_evolution ) in languages than in biology.",
