If I can reuse it in another form—like cut clothes into rags—I do that. I exchange cans and bottles for cash at the recycling center. Books go to free libraries. Otherwise it’s recycle or landfill, which I put in public bins or my cousin’s bins because I have so little I don’t need to sign up for garbage service.",
