Update: Holy cow, did it hurt to lie down in bed. I seem to breathe just fine, with little discomfort, so that says ribs are fine - lying down disagrees. Oof. The teen is being very good about it, but my husband fell asleep (he does that - hits a wall and drops into sleep like a stone into a pond). Hope I can fall asleep, and that I wake up feeling OK.
