My nephew’s wife, who is from Nicaragua, just received her Green Card today. She was so excited, she played the Star Spangled Banner and wore a red, white, and blue hat.
It was a reminder that as frustrated as I am with the attacks on our democracy, we are not living under a violent dictator.
