The most important thing to remember these days is that nation state governments are not the people they purport to represent.
Nation states ≠ the people.
People can only be justly treated based on their individual actions.
Say no to collective punishment and guilt by association.
Hold individuals responsible for their individual actions and nothing more.
Stand up strongly against those on any “side” who justify punishment of a broader group for actions of other individuals perceived to be of the same group, nationality, ethnicity, religion, etc.
