Basically a whole war was going on between the corpo lords and the union thugs. Nobody knows whose side caused the massacre but an entire building full of the miner's families got turned into a stampede by someone screaming fire.
many of hte kids and families were trampled to death.
Poor miners were being abused by both, hundreds of them starved to death as well when they were forced on strike. All for nothing too since the corpos weaseled out of it.
If you didn't know, union strikes are mandatory.
so you are forced to stop working, you cannot make any money at all for however long the strike is.
the union will not compensate in any way and still expects their taxes
