Things that I miss in #damus (though I understand it might be challenging to implement):
1. The note that was on the screen before closing the app, or switching to another app, should stay there no matter how many new notes came to the feed. Right now, the feed jumps even if I look at a note, and new ones come. This was perfectly implemented in Twitteriffic, I could close the app, or even reboot the phone – the next time I opened it I was always reading where I left off. The only case this rule broke was when the total number of new tweets exceeded the limit set in settings.
2. The back button navigation. I believe there should be exactly one back button, no matter if I'm browsing the feed, or went 20 levels deep into someone's profile, their notes, profiles of people who liked their notes, or these people's notes, etc. It should always go exactly one step back, not to the feed, or home, or whatever. This was also almost perfectly done in Twitterific (their in-app browser had its own back button, that's why I say "almost".)
3. Right now I often see npub keys in mentions even if a user has NIP-05 identifier. Taping the npub results in fetching the profile, then the identifier starts showing correctly in notes. Would be nice to have some prefetching here, though it's not critical, just a minor inconvenience.
Other than that, the app is amazing, thank you
