We still haven't experienced enough suffering to spur on a religious revival, the bread and circuses or porn, games and tv is pretty powerful, food is still (relatively) affordable. Once the quality of life plummets to soviet-collapse levels you'll see Christianity returning from the rubble, like the Russian Orthodox Church did in the decades following the 1990s
