I read an article on AI apps that can do high school level maths, and the author argued that if AI tools can get you to the same destination then what’s the problem? The problem is, getting AI to do math homework isn’t going to get you to the same place as someone who actually did the homework themselves. The latter learned through practice so can now solve those math problems without tools. The former won’t. That’s not the same place, especially if you’ve got exams at the end of it.
