Did school inspire you or put you off writing?
I hated school until college, which I enjoyed as a nontraditional student (meaning I was a freshman in my 30s,) but I took creative writing in high school and loved it. That was the first time I'd received compliments for my writing. College diverted me from art to science, but I had one writing elective that, again, brought great feedback so I knew I could write.
