I work with a library in southern Oregon. The fascists down there have a “hide the pride” campaign. Sometimes they check out and don’t return books. But their common strategy is to hide them in other parts of the library.
The librarians told me it usually backfires because they have to buy replacements, which means when they find them they now have multiple copies.
