Labor Day has a special meaning for those of us who live in or close to shore tourist areas. By this time of year we "locals" are tempted to stand by the side of the road, happily waving goodbye to the folks who have clogged our roads and crowded our beaches all summer. (And yes, we are well aware that you all keep our economy running, but still...)
Pro tip: September and early October are the BEST times to visit.
