As one accumulates wealth, they also accumulate power... Which, in turn, is used to accumulate more wealth and more power... Etc... It is not "human nature" or inherit in technology it is simply the context in which they interact and the incentives inherent in the system within which they operate. We improved upon previous systems when capitalism emerged... We can do better
