i may be in some minor trouble if i can't scrape the filesystem that has my current bitcoin wallet.dat
i was in some kind of delusion about bitcoin core that it was all a hd thing now, for years, for years, i mean literally 7 yeras i have believed this
now i'm running it, because it was a huge hassle to sync a 400gb chain 7 yeras ago, and i didn't realise it was still a fucking nondeterministic wallet with random keys
