This is a personal thread, though, and so there's a huge degree to which I normally let this kind of discourse roll by and not engage. Software dev isn't my life any more, so who fucking cares about gatekeeping in C/C++, whether RIIR is toxic, or any other such discourse?
As a user, though, I approach that in terms of product safety.
