most of the criticism i've seen is they're trying TOO HARD to clean up the crime, that they are sweeping up people that they didn't catch committing crimes. but uh, if you tattoo your criminal gang affiliation on your body, you kinda did the work for them. maybe it's still bad in practice i don't know but i can see it both ways
