Unfortunately most Fediverse people want to engage with their own crowd instead of being confronted with different op opinions. As we all know, those only come from propaganda bots. I don't see that a "open to any" instance could grow to meaningful size if both sides decide to defederate at around the same rate. I was hoping it might sort itself out but instead it's getting worse.
