Yes! Since the daily auctions were super short-term, it made it hard for people to purchase without a loss. We pivoted to fixed return mining.

That’s not to say they are dead forever (we are still moving fast, breaking things, and building). The reason we started fixed return mining rather than auctions was due to user feedback. We’re always open to feedback.

With the FR mining, Rigly is now the first hashrate marketplace where you can mine bitcoin at a profit.

Before now, we offered two ways to buy hashrate:

• Instant Mining where hashrate is priced at a premium
• Auctions where best bid establishes the purchase price

You can't earn a profit at instant mining, and you might earn a profit with auctions; depending on your bid price and if future hashprice is over your bid.

So much math. So little earnings.

For now, we will hold our block parties and sell fixed return mining lots as they’re available. So there are *still* auctions for the #BlockParty.

We also added direct buys of hashrate for the parties: https://upendo.xyz/

We also have teams partying for charity this go around. Hopefully, we hit a block on May 17 and the charities win too!

For fixed return mining, we currently have 4,350 TH still available with Wild Rose in Alberta: https://upendo.xyz/

We’re working on creating a reputation system for these miners, but you can learn more about them from their profiles on the main Rigly site: https://rigly.io/fixed-return

As always, we’re trying to take something super complicated (buying hashrate and mining sans equipment) and make it easier to understand.
