Stopcocks – love it!
I usually just ask my local friends (all of whom are women) and maybe look online, but it’s men, men, men where I live. I do get things done as seldom as possible. I hate “people in my house” (maybe no need for quotes, but I repeat the phrase rather often), so I bought a newer house, even though it was on the smaller side, so I could avoid them. I did need an electrician recently.
Good for FDS. I suppose the idea does work best if you’re truly open to both outcomes. I mean, a die-hard separatist doesn’t want to accidentally end up with a man because she stumbles upon a rare good one, nor is it easy for someone who is not separatist at heart to accept turning 30 or 40 never having found that rare guy. Still, I think normalizing it as a standard would be a good thing. We could move from thinking of men as “must-haves” to thinking of them as “nice-to-haves” (if they meet that high standard).
