The way I see it, it will not further adoption anymore than the current state we're in.
People will still have to deal with volatility, all you're doing is providing an off ramp. But that bitcoin gets immediately converted to fiat, at the same time getting centralized to these providers.
No one is going to convert fiat to bitcoin just to use it at a fiat terminal.
I live outside of the US and I don't see any Square terminals. Amazingly enough, I can use bitcoin for many of my needs peer to peer.
