Is a good idea the key to making money?
I recently came across the following popular phrase in a chat: 'It's easy to come up with an idea, but very hard to make money from it.' It received a lot of likes, but it's actually a dangerous mindset.

It implies that you can make money from any idea if you work hard enough, but that's simply not true. But that’s simply not true.

You could pour your heart and soul into an idea and still see tiny results. Maybe it’s the wrong market, the timing is off, the audience is wrong, or it's just not important enough.

In fact, the better the idea, the easier it is to monetise. A more accurate phrase would therefore be: 'It's hard to come up with an idea that's easy to make money from', or 'It's easy to come up with an idea that's hard to monetise.'

If you’re struggling to earn anything from your idea, either it's a bad idea or you're not very smart.

But let's be honest: it's not your fault, right?
