the error handling of so many web apps is so abysmal that almost every time you find a web app failing to respond normally, the reason is that the login cookie has expired and NOWHERE in the code is it handled correctly except after waiting often a minute or two it will finally wake up and redirect you to the login page
how the fuck does anyone write software that works at all when they clearly don't test failure conditions anywhere in their codebase?

this is why i hate javascript programmers, but most programmers suck, they don't think for 5 minutes in their whole career about what the person who comes after them is going to have to deal with
