I've changed my mind. Having just watched the original again, and it is indeed still a masterpiece of gothic cinema, it puts the remake in a whole new, dimmer and less flattering light.
I amend my original thoughts. The new one did get 7 out of 10, now I'll give it 5, tops.
GM #nostr - I watched the new The Crow movie last night and...I enjoyed it.
Wasn't sure if I would. The original was a gothic masterpiece, so I tried to watch with zero expectations and, in its own right, it was great.
