sendmail.cf, good times
at U Mich we were running some crazy sendmail setup using "production rules" based on some other meta-language (developed at U Utah, I think). It did some mostly-predictable header mangling. and of course we had some additional weirdness patched into the code.
(Running a weird Sendmail did help on the day of the Morris Worm, though, so there's that)
