I feel like I fail when one of those old chants I learned in childhood unexpectedly pops in my head, and I have to drive it out.
I feel like I fail when I jump in conversations like this, when I know I should just be paying attention.
I feel like I fail when I learn that something I've been saying or writing is based in racism, and I didn't know.
Victims of racism have no choice - I have to keep fighting me for them.
