Dubai (UAE) launched the national team's preparations for the participation in the first Gulf Legends Cup, organized by the Gulf Football Union in the State of Kuwait, from February 20 to 24, with the participation of 8 teams. The team led by coach Juma Rabia and his assistant Waleed Obaid conducted their first training session today at the Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Stadium, the headquarters of the UAE Football Association, with the participation of all players on the list, including Majed Nasser, Waleed Salem, Basher Saeed, Mohammed Al-Azani, Youssef Jaber, Munther Ali, Juma Khater, Abdullah Malallah, Ahmed Khamees, Saeed Khater, Hilal Saeed, Abdulrahman Juma, Nasser Khamees, Rami Yosuf, Hassan Ali Ibrahim, Faisal Khalil, Mohammed Surour, Ismail Matar, and Saif Al-Kas. The training session was attended by Mohammed Abdullah Al-Hazmi, the general secretary of the UAE Football Association, Mohammed Obaid Hamad, the team's manager, and Abdulqadir Hassan, the team's administrator. The team's program includes daily training sessions, medical checks, and other matters that ensure a successful participation in this tournament, which is widely followed by the Gulf media and fans who will be keen to follow the stars of the Gulf teams that shone in the Gulf Arab Cup. The UAE team will start its campaign in the tournament with a match against Qatar on February 20, followed by a match against Kuwait on February 21, and then against Oman on February 22. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals, which will be played on February 23, and the final match will be held on February 24.
