Pimentel to PH allies: Help us address drought

Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel III appeals to the Philippines' allies to help mitigate the effects of severe drought caused by El Niño. Pimentel challenges the United States, Japan, and Western European countries to extend support beyond military cooperation. The United Nations seeks increased international support for the Philippines in dealing with the strongest El Niño episode in history, causing losses estimated at P4.3 billion in agriculture and affecting the livelihoods of many Filipinos.
