His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God preserve him, received today at Qasr Al Batin in Abu Dhabi a delegation representing 'Zayed Humanitarian Foundation' and its affiliated entities, along with a number of philanthropists from the public and private sectors. During the meeting, His Highness expressed his gratitude to the founders and affiliates of the foundation, as well as the philanthropists, for their important role in promoting the humanitarian message of the UAE and its approach to giving and working for the happiness and development of humanity, in addition to embodying the humanitarian legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, who has always been an inspiration to generations in goodness and extended a helping hand to those in need. His Highness emphasized that humanitarian work is a moral responsibility and a fundamental characteristic of our national identity. From this perspective, the UAE, through its concerned institutions, works to promote the humanitarian values instilled by Sheikh Zayed to be a catalyst for multiplying good deeds and joint humanitarian cooperation to improve the lives of millions of people around the world, especially in communities that need assistance. The delegation presented their warm congratulations to His Highness on the occasion of Ramadan, praying to God to preserve his health and happiness and to continue the progress and prosperity of the UAE. The delegation included representatives from Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation, 'Reach the Last Mile' initiative, Emirates Foundation, Zayed Sustainability Award, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Wildlife Conservation Fund, UAE Fund, International Fund for the Conservation of the Arabian Oryx, Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, Khalifa Education Award, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Education Award, and the Global Polio Eradication Initiative 'GAVI' and the Clean Rivers Foundation. The Zayed Humanitarian Foundation was established in November 2024, according to a federal decree issued by His Highness the President, and works under the leadership of Sheikh Dhahi bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Presidential Diwan for Development and Martyrs' Affairs, Chairman of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council, and Chairman of the Zayed Humanitarian Foundation Board of Directors, in five main areas, including global health, education, economic empowerment, sustainable agriculture and food security, energy and climate, and Emirati heritage and community service.
