If you do occasional phone video, I'd recommend the Manfrotto PIXI mini tripod plus a smartphone tripod clamp. It works as a desktop tripod, but its "hidden" feature is when the legs are retracted, it becomes a more comfortable way to grip your phone while shooting handheld. MUCH more comfortable than trying to grip a thin square slab. And it's less than $20.
