People still ensconced in mainstream media are whining about the Washington Post doing something they don’t like. So they are gonna stomp their feet and cancel their subscription.
That will show ‘em!
No one cares.
There is literally an off-ramp for journalists called nostr. You can do journalism and get paid for it on nostr. You can’t get cancelled, censored, or shadowbanned.
Don’t whine about the old system. Build something better. Build your own journalism. Your own audience that can’t be taken from you when Substack or Patreon or whomever changes the rules.
If you serve the public, they will pay you. If you serve your own interests, they will cut you off. No advertisers to tell you what you can and can’t say.
We used to innovate in the United States and that’s what made it great. Let’s get back to that. Where is your sense of adventure? Get off your asses or keep whining that a giant company owned by Jeff Bezos has easily predictable issues.
