Incentivise small-scale Bitcoin mining to spread the network’s power to real people. They could throw cash at node setups for anyone who’ll run them, reward uptime, not version. People should pick their code, their energy and their money.
Government’s job is security and defense first, no more, no less. Decentralizing and strengthening the Bitcoin network is a matter of national security and they don’t even know it yet, hell they don't even know they need it yet.
Sure, there might be holes in what I said, but I’d rather see tax dollars drive real change than fund solar panels and batteries for some investor’s rental empire not to mention another retarded wind farm.
