The UN has a new target in its ongoing war on “disinformation”—and this time, it’s climate change.

This week at the G20 Summit, the Global Initiative for Information Integrity on Climate Change launched, backed by UNESCO and nations like Brazil, the UK, and France. They’re raising $10–$15M for “research, advocacy, and communication strategies” to combat so-called “climate disinfo.”

UNESCO chief Audrey Azoulay says journalists must become advocates, not reporters—“a critical link between science and society.” It’s a clear shift from objectivity to agenda-pushing.

This isn’t about truth. It’s about control. With coordinated narratives and censorship disguised as “integrity,” dissenting voices could be labeled threats. Worse, governments and the UN are positioning themselves as arbiters of what’s “true.”
